Message from the president

Dear members and friends of IAL,

I thank the outgoing IAL Executive Committee and existing IAL members for entrusting me with the responsibility to serve and represent Indian Association Lausanne.

Unity in diversity has been the hallmark of our culture and this is what IAL stands for. We, as a community and individuals, represent India and it is unto us that we carry ourselves with integrity and compassion, assimilating the best qualities which Swiss culture has to offer.

The vision of the newly formed IAL Executive Committee is to build a social, cultural and integration platform based on Swiss and Indian value systems. I trust that you all will participate in this endeavour and contribute in building a dynamic Swiss Indian community which our future generations will be proud of.

Celebrations is a way of life in India and we Indians are good at it. Keeping this in mind, we have already started preparing for upcoming Holi event in March and would like you all to grace the occasion with your participation and presence. Details of the event will be communicated in due course. The new Executive Committee will share its vision at the event.

I take this opportunity to call for volunteers to join our team and make IAL a vibrant community centric organization. We are planning to expand the Committee and increase the volunteer base by inducting committed individuals into our team. Write to us, if you believe in making a difference to the community.

Looking forward to see you at IAL events and hoping to fulfil the diverse needs of our community.
